Could You Pay Less for Medicare Part B? Understanding Devoted Health’s Giveback Benefit
Your Medicare coverage is an important part of your retirement budget. At Strategic Investment Services (SIS), we help you understand your options—including certain Devoted Health Medicare Advantage plans with a Part B giveback benefit.
How Does the Giveback Work?
The giveback reduces the Medicare Part B premium you pay. It is a premium reduction, rather than a separate cash payment from Devoted. Depending on how you pay, you may see a smaller Medicare bill or less deducted from your Social Security payment. The amount depends on your specific plan.
When Will You See the Savings?
Devoted says processing can take up to four months after coverage starts. Continue paying your full required Part B premium until the adjustment appears. Once processed, credits apply for eligible months missed during the delay.
Who Can Receive It?
You must enroll in a plan offering the benefit and meet its requirements. If Medicaid or another assistance program pays your Part B premium, Devoted explains that you will not receive the giveback yourself.
These are Medicare Advantage plans, not Medicare Supplement policies. Check the plan documents for the exact benefit and coverage details.
